July 11th, 2013
- Macsa ID, a Manresan, family company present in over 70 countries specializing in coding, identification, and traceability through different technologies, including lasers and print & apply systems, has purchased the label manufacturing plant that the Japanese company, SATO IBERIA, had in Sabadell. The agreement was signed today, July 11th, and means that Macsa ID will have its own label production line, allowing Macsa to offer a more complete service to their customers. According to Jordi Piñot, CEO of Macsa ID, “This operation complements our existing line of products perfectly, while allowing us to expand our range of products, which we hope will translate to important synergies for our company, as well as the possibility of breaking in to new markets.

Until now, Macsa ID has marketed labeling supplies of third parties and has always offered its customers the highest quality materials to ensure optimum performance. In addition to this, MACSA offers the ability to adapt to specific client needs. With the new plant in Sabadell, Macsa ID can begin its own label production to improve the existing standards of quality and customer service. The purchase of this manufacturing plant demonstrates the confidence that MACSA ID and its professionals have in the Spanish market, as it keeps the production centers and jobs from SATO in Sabadell.

The acquisition of this plant by Macsa ID, which has a surface area of 3.500 square meters, ensures the same continuity of all technical, human, and manufacturing resources involved in label manufacturing.
