Ink marking is not permanent on bottles (unlike laser); besides, the bottle contents a solvent part and sometimes during bottle filling or taping process, part of the liquid get spilled and consequently marking disappears or get erased.

Making samples with laser for product identification we saw that the erasing problem disappeared because we’re talking about a permanent laser marking (reaction with glass surface). The Marketing Department accepted the new marking presentation (contrast, print-quality): former marking was black with lack of quality but now it’s a white appearance on a transparent background (glass).

In non high speed packaging production lines, 2 Dynamarks (CO2 equipments) of 25W were installed and in high speed production lines, 4 vectorial Scriptmarks of 100W. The laser marking is dynamic, not static.

Speed: 18 meters per minute (production line). Small bottles marked per minute: 250 small bottles x minute.

Laser marking: 10 digits on 1 line with lot number (codified date + internal code)
